Prime Hide Leather: building visibility for UK wholesale searches

I worked on Prime Hide Leather’s technical SEO, product content and search targeting to help its WooCommerce store reach buyers searching for wholesale leather bags, handbags, wallets and belts.

Rankings are from a supplied report dating to around 2023, not current positions. The Semrush UK overview is a separate snapshot with no confirmed capture date or traffic reporting period. Its traffic figure is an estimate, not a Google Analytics visitor count.

The starting point

A product catalogue that needed stronger search visibility

Prime Hide Leather sells wholesale leather goods to the UK market. When I began working on the website, organic visibility was limited. Product metadata needed attention, technical issues were holding the site back, and loading speed and structured data needed improvement.

The goal was to attract relevant visitors and support product enquiries and sales. The search work needed to reflect wholesale buying intent, rather than treating every leather-product search as the same opportunity.

My approach

Technical improvements and product relevance, together

I combined technical fixes with product-level optimisation. Better crawlability would help search engines access the catalogue, while clearer product titles, descriptions and metadata would help explain what the business offered.

I researched wholesale searches for bags, handbags, wallets and belts, then monitored rankings and refined the work over the project. This was an SEO programme for a WooCommerce store, not a paid advertising or AI-search campaign.

What I worked on

Technical SEO and crawlability

I addressed technical website issues to improve how search engines could access and understand the store. This formed the foundation for the product optimisation work.

Product content and metadata

I optimised product titles, descriptions, metadata and tags around relevant wholesale search terms, making the catalogue’s products and buying context clearer.

Loading speed and structured data

I worked on loading speed and added or improved schema for products and key pages. The aim was a more usable store with clearer machine-readable product information.

Keyword targeting and review

I researched UK wholesale product searches, monitored reported positions and made ongoing adjustments. Google Search Console, Google Analytics and SEO research tools supported the work.

Reported search positions

The supplied ranking report lists 16 keywords. Excluding the two brand searches, all 14 remaining terms appear in positions 1-9. These include buying-intent searches for wholesale bags, handbags, wallets and belts.

What the Semrush overview shows

The UK overview reports an estimated organic traffic figure of 7.2K and approximately 1.5K organic keywords. These figures provide additional context for search visibility; they do not establish a measured increase in visitors or sales over the project.

There is no verified numerical baseline or matched before-and-after traffic period available for this case study. I have therefore not calculated traffic growth, sales growth or revenue attribution from these screenshots.

My takeaway

Make the catalogue work for the buyer’s search

The important decision here was to work on technical access and product relevance together. A wholesale store needs more than products uploaded to WooCommerce: its catalogue needs to explain the offer in the terms buyers actually use.

The reported positions illustrate visibility across several product groups. For a new engagement, I would also agree conversion measurement at the outset, so enquiries and sales could be assessed alongside rankings.
