LOCAL CITATION MANAGEMENT
I audit, build and repair business listings so your name, address and phone number tell the same story across maps, directories and the sources customers use to check you.
Your recognised business name, with old names and branch mix-ups checked.
The correct location or supported service area, with outdated addresses reviewed.
A business-controlled number that reaches the right team, not a disconnected line.

NAP CONSISTENCY & CITATION CLEANUP
A move leaves an old address behind. A former agency owns a directory login. A branch links to the head office instead of its booking page. These are the issues I look for before creating another listing.
LOCAL PRESENCE ACROSS PLATFORMS
I agree a source list for the market and category. The website becomes the reference point; each external record is checked against the real location and the platform’s requirements.
Core identity, location links and ownership checks where eligible.
Google Business ProfileSources that serve the actual market, with local address and phone formats.
Explore market coverageRelevant professional, trade and membership sources with approved claims.
Industry experienceContact pages, branch destinations and public profile details that agree.
Connected local SEOTHE LOCATION CHANGES THE CHECKLIST
For a London practice, I distinguish the firm from individual practitioners and check the approved public name. A professional register is not treated like a general directory.
For a Goa hotel or restaurant, I check the property identity, seasonal details and the booking destination. Similar names should not send visitors to another venue.
For branches in Toronto or Sydney, I separate the shared brand from local phones, address formats and location pages, with a named approver for each change.
LOCAL CITATIONS & AI ANSWERS
A directory or other source mentions your business details. The task is to make that record accurate, relevant and connected to the right location.
An answer links to or attributes a source. An accurate directory entry may be useful evidence, but publishing it does not buy a mention in ChatGPT, Gemini or another assistant.
I align business facts across your site and relevant listings, then identify missing evidence. Broader AI visibility also needs useful content and accessible pages; there is no special citation markup that guarantees inclusion.

WORK DIRECTLY WITH HIMANSHU
I started in agency SEO in 2008. My approach is to understand what stops the customer from reaching your business, agree the priority and make the work traceable. Citation management should leave you with cleaner records and more control, not a spreadsheet of unexplained links.
Currently accepting 2 consulting projects.
BEFORE YOU COMMISSION CITATION WORK
Ownership, duplicate records, privacy, fees and what you should expect to receive.
A local citation is a reference to your business details on another source, such as a directory, map listing or industry association page. It may include a website link, but it does not have to. I review whether the record identifies the right business and helps customers reach it. Buying links and maintaining accurate business records are different jobs.
I do not start with a target of 100 or 500 submissions. I shortlist sources by country, industry, customer use and the information already appearing about you. A useful local association listing can deserve more attention than dozens of unrelated directories. Your proposal names the sources or agreed selection criteria and the number of locations in scope.
The underlying business facts should agree. I do not treat a harmless abbreviation such as Street versus St as the same problem as a different postcode or a disconnected phone. I establish an approved record, allow the formatting each platform requires and prioritise discrepancies that identify the wrong business or send a customer to the wrong place.
Yes. I first distinguish duplicates from legitimate branches, departments or practitioner records. For a move or rebrand, I map the old and new details, check account access and submit the appropriate corrections or closure requests. Some publishers need owner verification or further evidence. I report what is live, what is submitted and what still needs action rather than mark every request as resolved.
Not without agreeing what is appropriate to publish. I check the operating model and the supported privacy options for each source before submission. For example, Google tells service-area businesses to hide their address from customers. A directory that insists on exposing an unsuitable home address may be one we exclude. You approve the public contact details; I do not distribute personal numbers or documents as listing content.
I will not create a branch that does not exist. Serving a city is not the same as operating an eligible customer-facing location there. I check each platform’s rules and describe the real service area where supported. A useful location page can explain market coverage without inventing a local office.
Yes. The directory shortlist changes with the country and business category. I check local address formats, dialling codes, branch names and relevant industry or regional sources. We agree any translated business descriptions with someone who can approve them. I do not reuse one international directory list for every market.
Their business-information checks can be included in the agreed citation scope. Full profile optimisation, photos, posts, review workflows and platform-specific support are separate deliverables unless listed in your proposal. You can also work with me on Google Business Profile, Bing Places or Apple Maps individually.
It can make your public business information easier to verify, but a directory listing is not a guaranteed AI reference. An AI citation is a source linked or attributed in an answer; a local citation is a business mention. I address conflicting facts and relevant source coverage here. Content, crawlability and wider evidence belong in the connected AI search strategy.
Not every business needs ongoing management. In the proposal I distinguish manual work, publisher fees and any third-party distribution subscription. Where a provider is involved, I check its cancellation terms and explain what control or updates depend on it. On handover you receive the source register, agreed account access and unresolved items. I cannot promise that a publisher will retain every detail forever.
I need the approved business and branch details, website, known old names or addresses, and access to relevant listing accounts. I prefer business-controlled accounts with delegated access where available. You complete owner-only verification steps and approve sensitive changes. I do not need passwords sent by email, and verification documents are not copied into public descriptions.
I give you a timetable after seeing the number of locations, existing errors and verification requirements. My implementation schedule is separate from a publisher’s review time. Your report includes the listing URL, original issue, action, current status and last check date. We review unresolved records and any useful referral or enquiry evidence; a submission receipt is not proof of publication.
I can commit to the agreed audit, corrections, follow-up and reporting. I cannot control every publisher or promise a map position from citation volume. If a record cannot be edited, I document the reporting route, evidence supplied and next option. Where the main problem is on your website or profile, I explain that before recommending more directory work.
Before publishing, I agree which contact details are business-public and check publisher rules for your category. A sole trader’s details may also be personal data. For clinics, legal firms and other regulated services, your authorised team approves descriptions, professional claims and required disclosures. I flag issues for the appropriate privacy or legal adviser; citation management is not a legal compliance certification.
