WEB ANALYTICS THAT EARNS ITS PLACE
That is often where the useful conversation starts. A new form can count twice. A payment provider can appear to take credit for an order. A campaign can bring enquiries that never become suitable prospects.
I work back from the business question to the collection and reporting setup. We establish which numbers are dependable, where the gaps are and what you can reasonably decide from the evidence available.
Connect measurement with your marketing →CONNECTED ANALYTICS SERVICES
Tracking & GA4
I start with the real journey, not a list of tags. The plan distinguishes a visit, a successful enquiry and a sale so the team does not optimise against the wrong signal.
Discuss this work →Name the action, its trigger, required parameters and reporting purpose.
Review tags, duplicate firing, cross-domain journeys and agreed consent behaviour.
Document what was changed, how it was tested and who owns the configuration.
Reporting
A dashboard should settle a recurring question. I agree the definitions and source of each measure before arranging charts around it.
Discuss this work →Connect onsite behaviour with search context without presenting clicks and sessions as identical.
Create scoped views for acquisition, landing pages and conversion performance.
Record date ranges, attribution choices, exclusions and reporting limitations.
Analysis & attribution
A fall in recorded leads may reflect demand, the website or a broken event. I investigate the sequence before recommending a budget change.
Discuss this work →Compare channels, devices, landing pages and relevant markets.
Check campaign settings, release dates and available lead or order records.
State the finding, confidence, owner and measure for the proposed action.
AI-assisted insights
AI can help surface patterns and summarise a complex report. I check those suggestions against the source data and the context your business provides.
Discuss this work →Investigate unusual changes rather than assume an automated explanation is correct.
Review identifiable assistant traffic, landing pages and recorded conversion journeys.
Keep sensitive data protected and recommendations accountable to a named person.
FOLLOW THE CUSTOMER, NOT JUST THE CLICK
I define the handover between website data and business records. This is how we avoid calling every interaction a conversion that matters.
Where did this visit come from?
What did the visitor see first?
Was an enquiry actually submitted?
Did it meet your sales criteria?
Was business recorded in your system?
GA4 covers recorded website behaviour. Qualification and sales may need an agreed CRM or order-data connection.
AI TRAFFIC + HUMAN-REVIEWED ANALYSIS
I review identifiable assistant traffic alongside the pages it reaches and the actions recorded on the site. The aim is to understand whether those visits support the business, not celebrate a new channel label.
AI-assisted analysis is a separate part of the workflow: useful for surfacing questions, but recommendations still need checked data and your commercial context.
Check available source and channel data.
Review landing pages and recorded key events.
Compare the finding with lead quality and tracking limitations.
A website analytics report does not measure every AI mention or a customer who never visits.
DAAOMI FOR MEASUREMENT
DAAOMI stands for Discover, Analyze, Audit, Optimize, Monitor and Improve. Each letter names a stage in my working framework. For analytics, the cycle keeps implementation tied to the reason you needed the data.
Agree the business outcome, audiences and reporting users.
Review the journeys, systems and numbers already available.
Check events, configuration, duplication and collection risks.
Implement or brief the agreed fixes and useful reporting views.
Review incoming data and investigate unexpected changes.
Adjust measurement and recommendations as the business learns.
ANALYTICS CONSULTING PACKAGES & PRICING
A focused diagnosis, an agreed implementation or regular help interpreting the numbers. Every proposal defines the sites, journeys, sources and delivery responsibilities before work begins.
Find the measurement gaps
Put the agreed plan into practice
Turn reporting into action
Custom development, CRM integrations, paid connectors, server-side tagging and software subscriptions are separately scoped where required. An audit does not include implementation unless agreed.
YOUR BUSINESS. YOUR ACCOUNTS.
I request the access needed for the work and agree how changes are approved. Your team retains ownership of the analytics accounts, tags and reports.
For businesses serving different countries, I review market segmentation, reporting time zones and currency context. Your privacy lead sets the legal requirements; I implement and test the agreed measurement behaviour.
Google's guidance on avoiding personal information in Analytics ↗WORK DIRECTLY WITH HIMANSHU SWARAJ
I have worked in search marketing since 2008. That perspective helps me connect a reporting change with the campaign, website or sales process behind it, rather than stop at the chart.
BEFORE WE WORK ON YOUR ANALYTICS
I can audit a GA4 property, define a measurement plan, configure agreed tracking and build reporting around your marketing decisions. You can also hire me to interpret existing data without replacing your implementation team. I confirm which websites, events, reports and integrations are included before work starts.
Yes. I trace the action from the website through the tag and into the reporting destination. A button click, a successful form submission and a thank-you page visit can accidentally count the same enquiry more than once. I test the agreed journeys, document the cause and validate the correction. Historical reports do not automatically repair themselves after a tracking fix.
An audit checks the current implementation and produces a prioritised findings list. Setup puts an agreed measurement plan into practice, including configuration, testing and handover. You can buy the audit alone; implementing its recommendations is a separate scope unless included in the proposal.
Yes. I use Google Tag Manager where it suits the implementation and Looker Studio where a shared dashboard will help the team. I agree the event specification, access and reporting sources first. Custom development, paid connectors and specialist integrations are identified separately so a dashboard proposal does not hide extra costs.
They measure different things and may use different attribution rules, reporting time zones and processing windows. Search Console clicks are not the same metric as GA4 sessions. I compare definitions and configuration before treating a mismatch as a tracking fault, then document which report should answer each business question.
I can review identifiable AI assistant traffic in GA4, check its landing pages and compare the recorded actions with other channels. Not every visit carries a usable source, and a mention without a website visit is not a GA4 session. For the separate question of where your business appears, I can scope AI visibility monitoring.
I use suitable tools to help explore patterns, summarise changes and form questions for investigation. I verify the underlying numbers, filters and business context before recommending action. I do not paste confidential customer records into public tools or treat an AI explanation as proof of what caused a change. Tool use and access are agreed for the engagement.
Where your systems and permissions support it, I can scope a connection between acquisition reporting and downstream lead or order records. We first agree what counts as qualified, which system owns that status and what identifiers are permitted. A telephone-link click is not proof of a completed call, and a form submission is not automatically a sale.
I can implement and test the agreed consent behaviour and review collection risks with your team. Your legal adviser or privacy lead determines the requirements for your markets and approves the policy. I do not certify GDPR or other legal compliance. Google prohibits sending personally identifiable information into Analytics; forms, URLs and event parameters need particular care.
No. I cannot recreate visits or events that were never collected. Existing exports, order records or other systems may provide a separate historical baseline, but they are not a replacement GA4 history. I explain what is available and mark the date from which a corrected implementation can be assessed.
Yes. I scope the checkout, payment domains, currency handling and relevant market segments before defining reports. A UK lead-generation site and an international store need different conversion definitions. For a broader growth brief, the work can connect with ecommerce SEO or international SEO.
I quote against the sites, event journeys, reporting sources and depth of analysis involved. You can choose an audit, a setup project or ongoing advisory support. The proposal lists deliverables, dependencies, review rounds and any connector or software costs. I do not price an unknown implementation as if every website has the same tracking needs.
Your business keeps ownership of its accounts and reports. I request the minimum access needed, starting with read-only review where possible. Changes to tags or configuration require appropriate permissions and an agreed publishing process. Please do not send passwords or customer data in the enquiry form; we arrange access securely after agreeing the scope.
I set the delivery schedule after reviewing the site, access and dependencies. Implementation includes agreed testing and a handover; ongoing monitoring is available separately. Some reports need new data after a fix before we can interpret them sensibly. I distinguish implementation completion from the later performance review.
Better measurement helps us identify what to change and judge the result, but installing tags alone does not create demand or close sales. I connect findings to practical marketing decisions and can work alongside your team or provide strategy consulting. We agree what to test and how to assess it rather than promise a percentage uplift.
START WITH THE NUMBER YOU DON'T TRUST
Tell me where the report stops being useful. We can agree the right investigation before adding more tracking or more charts.
