WOOCOMMERCE SEO EXPERTISE

Easy to add a product.
More work to make it competitive.

WooCommerce brings selling into WordPress, so your team can manage products alongside articles, guides and other site content. That is useful flexibility. It also means the theme, extensions, hosting and catalogue structure all influence the customer experience.

I look beyond whether an SEO plugin shows a green score. Can a buyer reach the right range? Does the product explain compatibility? Are filters creating unnecessary URLs? Does the feed describe the same offer as the page?

My starting point Improve the parts of the catalogue that matter commercially before expanding the list of tasks or plugins.

PRODUCT SEO BY BUYING INTENT

One catalogue.
Several ways to shop.

A first-time browser, an exact-model buyer and an overseas customer need different information. I map that intent to the right page and the right offer.

Category shoppers

Help shoppers narrow the choice.

A broad product search needs a useful range, clear selection criteria and a route to the right item. I shape category pages around the decisions customers actually make.

Discuss My Catalogue →
01

Category purpose

Separate meaningful ranges from overlapping tags and thin archives.

02

Useful guidance

Explain fit, materials or use cases without burying the products under generic copy.

03

Internal routes

Connect categories, buying guides and products that belong together.

Product researchers

Answer the question that stops the purchase.

Dimensions, compatibility and what is included often matter more than another adjective. I use genuine product facts to make comparison easier for people and search systems.

01

Product detail

Improve names, descriptions, specifications and image context within the agreed range.

02

Evidence

Use genuine reviews, instructions and substantiated claims, not invented expertise.

03

AI discovery

Make important information available as clear text with consistent product identity.

Ready-to-buy customers

Make the exact offer easy to recognise.

A model search or Shopping visit should land on the right product, with the right variant, price and availability. The landing page must support the offer that brought the customer there.

01

Variant accuracy

Align product options, images and availability with the selected item.

02

Purchase confidence

Make delivery, returns, payment choices and contact information easy to find.

03

Measurement

Check the agreed purchase journey and avoid counting one order twice.

Cross-border buyers

Localise the offer, not just the currency symbol.

I work from the countries you can actually fulfil. Language, sizing, delivery time and product restrictions can change what a customer needs before buying.

01

Market intent

Research local product terms and use cases rather than copy a keyword list.

02

Market structure

Review language and country URLs, regional availability and feed targets.

03

Commercial details

Coordinate currency, shipping and approved policy information with your team.

PRODUCT FEED SETUP + GOOGLE SHOPPING

Your store and your feed
need to tell the same story.

I can configure an appropriate WooCommerce connector or feed, map the agreed attributes and validate selected products in Merchant Center. I review the existing tools before recommending another extension.

PRODUCT INFORMATION FOR AI DISCOVERY

Give a useful answer
before asking for the order.

A shopper may ask which item fits a small space, works with existing equipment or ships to their country. A product title alone rarely settles that choice.

I make those distinctions clearer through accurate specifications, useful buying content and consistent product data. Structured data supports understanding; it does not force an AI recommendation.

THE BUYER'S CHECKLIST

Is this the right product for me?

Fit
Dimensions, compatibility and intended use.
Difference
Materials, features and evidence behind the claim.
Offer
Correct variant, availability, delivery and returns.

I review the actual information behind the answer, not just how often a brand name appears.

TECHNICAL WOOCOMMERCE SEO

Fix the friction behind the storefront.

Filters & archives

Decide which combinations deserve indexing and which create unnecessary crawl paths.

Products & variants

Review canonical signals, internal links, variant URLs and discontinued-product handling.

Structured data

Check Product, Offer and applicable variant markup against the visible item and live offer.

Themes & extensions

Investigate template weight, image delivery and plugin conflicts with your development team.

Catalogue content

Replace vague or duplicated descriptions with useful, verified product information.

Purchase measurement

Check agreed ecommerce events and transaction handling so reporting supports the next decision.

DAAOMI FOR YOUR STORE

A working cycle.
Not a one-off plugin configuration.

DAAOMI stands for Discover, Analyze, Audit, Optimize, Monitor and Improve. Its name comes from the first letter of each stage. I use it to connect catalogue decisions, implementation and the evidence we review afterwards.

  1. D

    Discover

    Understand the store

Products, customers, fulfilment markets and commercial priorities.

  2. A

    Analyze

    Map buying demand

Compare category, model and use-case searches with the offer.

  3. A

    Audit

    Find the obstacles

Inspect templates, indexing, product facts, feeds and tracking.

  4. O

    Optimize

    Improve the priority range

Implement or brief the agreed page, technical and data changes.

  5. M

    Monitor

    Review the response

Check feed status, search visibility and recorded shopping behaviour.

  6. I

    Improve

    Choose the next action

Use stock, sales context and performance to refine the work.

Start with one commercially important range. A focused scope can establish the approach before applying it more widely.

WOOCOMMERCE CLIENT QUESTIONS

Before we work on your
products, feeds and visibility.

What do your WooCommerce SEO services include?

I review product and category demand, the WordPress setup, crawl and indexing controls, product information and the route to purchase. The scope can include implementation, Merchant Center feed work and AI discovery analysis. You receive an agreed list of templates, products, categories and deliverables; a large catalogue is not treated as an unlimited content-writing job.

Is WooCommerce a good choice for SEO, or should I move to Shopify?

WooCommerce gives you control over WordPress content, product templates and extensions. That flexibility is useful when somebody owns hosting, updates and technical maintenance. I would not recommend a platform move solely because rankings are weak. I first assess what is actually limiting discovery or sales. If a move makes commercial sense, I can review the SEO implications alongside your developers.

Will an SEO plugin optimise the store for me?

No. A plugin can help manage metadata, sitemaps and some structured data, but it does not decide which category deserves a page or explain why a customer should choose a product. I review the output of the installed tools and avoid adding another plugin when a configuration change or template fix will do.

Should we optimise product pages or category pages first?

I compare search intent with your stock, margins and current visibility. A shopper exploring a product type may need a category or buying guide; somebody searching for an exact model needs the product and the right variant. I prioritise the pages with a useful role in that journey rather than write the same keyword into every page.

Can you set up a product feed and connect WooCommerce to Google Shopping?

Yes. I can scope Merchant Center connection, feed or connector configuration, attribute mapping, variant checks and validation of the selected products. I review your existing setup before choosing an extension. My Google Shopping management service covers free listings and ongoing Merchant Center support. Google controls product and account approval. The proposal separates setup, ongoing feed maintenance and any paid campaign management.

Are free product listings the same as paid Shopping ads?

No. Eligible products can appear in free listings without buying the placement. Paid Shopping activity requires a separate Google Ads campaign and media budget. Feed quality matters to both, but submitting a feed does not guarantee display or sales. For campaign planning, see my Google Ads services.

Can you fix Merchant Center disapprovals or an account suspension?

I can investigate the stated issue, compare the feed with the store and help prepare corrections and a review request where appropriate. Price mismatches and missing attributes are different from an account-level policy issue. I do not promise reinstatement, hide business information or create replacement accounts to bypass enforcement.

How do you handle variants, GTINs and products without barcodes?

I review how size, colour and other variants map to URLs, stock, images and feed items. Genuine manufacturer identifiers should be used where assigned and required. I do not invent GTINs or apply a missing-identifier setting across the catalogue just to clear an error. Custom-made or identifier-free products need the correct treatment for their actual circumstances.

What happens to filtered pages and out-of-stock products?

I assess which filtered combinations serve real demand and which only multiply crawlable URLs. Indexing, canonical and crawl controls need to agree; one blanket rule is rarely appropriate. For stock changes, I distinguish temporary unavailability from a permanently discontinued item and consider the customer, existing links and suitable alternatives before recommending removal or a redirect.

Can AI write all of our product descriptions?

AI can help organise supplied facts or draft a starting point, but somebody must verify specifications, compatibility, safety claims and the reason to buy. I build content around real product information and customer questions. I will not invent testing, reviews or performance claims, or publish thousands of near-identical descriptions just to increase page count.

Can you make our products appear in AI answers?

I can improve the clarity and accessibility of the product information, supporting guides and relevant merchant data, and review sampled AI answers. No consultant controls which products an AI system recommends. Google merchant data is not a universal submission feed for every AI platform. An AI visibility audit can help identify the specific gaps worth addressing.

Do you work with stores selling in different countries?

Yes. I separate the target country, language, currency, delivery coverage and product availability before recommending market pages or feed settings. A UK offer and a US offer may need different sizing, wording and shipping information. Tax and legal requirements stay with your authorised advisers. The work can connect with international SEO and multilingual SEO.

Do you handle privacy, returns policies and regulated product claims?

I review whether the store presents the information shoppers and platforms need, including business contact details, shipping and returns. I can coordinate agreed tracking and consent requirements with your team. Your legal or product specialist approves consumer-law wording, tax treatment and regulated claims. SEO work is not legal certification, and a feed change does not make an ineligible product eligible.

How much does WooCommerce SEO cost, and is advertising included?

I quote for catalogue size, template complexity, markets, feed condition and the amount of implementation involved. The three options below distinguish an audit, a defined setup project and ongoing improvement. Advertising spend, premium extensions, major development and bulk product entry are separate unless expressly included. You keep ownership of the store and connected accounts.

How long does it take, and how will we know the work is helping?

I agree delivery milestones after reviewing the scope and access. We track completed fixes, important page visibility, feed eligibility and recorded purchase behaviour, then review sales context where data is available. Search changes take time to be processed and outcomes vary. I can commit to the agreed work and clear reporting, not a fixed ranking or revenue percentage. For tracking gaps, I can include or separately scope analytics consulting.
